In this project we study how inequality impacts partner choice and cooperation. People typically differ in how many resources they have and how productive they are. We want to know how inequality in resources and productivity affects with whom people choose to cooperate, and how much they subsequently cooperate. We also examine how punishment interacts with partner choice when people cooperate under inequality. This project is conducted in collaboration with University of Groningen and the University of Zurich.
