Halima Bouras Education opportunities are not equally divided with students of lower socio-economic status being disadvantaged. Halima’s PhD research project is aimed at identifying how non-cognitive competences such as academic self-efficacy play a role in the education achievement gap (relation between SES and performance), and how interventions designed to develop non-cognitive competences, can stimulate academic performance.
