Shared and unshared Social Indentity and Trust
Examining how shared and unshared social identities shape trust and reciprocity between individuals in advantaged and disadvantaged positions.
Anya Elisabeth Benson
Drawing on insights from behavioral economics and social psychology, we examine how group membership shapes trust, and reciprocty between individuals assigned an advantaged or a disadvantaged position. As part of a multi-labs study, we will explore where a shared university affiliation can promote cooperation. The project aims to deepen our understanding of social cohesion by providing new insights into the role of shared and unshared social identity in unequal societies.
